Hardware first

Both systems fly today — the customer gets a running start rather than a concept, and a demonstrated foundation to field.

Built for a compliant supply chain

Component selection is assessed against NDAA FY2020 Section 848 and the FY2024 American Security Drone Act, with country of final assembly established per part. Compliance is a design input, not a retrofit.

Cost as a requirement

Expendable systems only work if the economics work. Unit cost and cost per engagement are tracked as engineering requirements alongside mass, power, and range.

Small enough to move

Direct access to the people doing the work, short iteration loops, and no layer between a requirement and the engineer who implements it.

Kestrel is pre-award and states so plainly. The company holds no prior contracts and no past performance history — it was incorporated in June 2026 and is competing for its first award. The systems, however, already fly.
